London 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition
Weymouth and Portland, Great Britain

2012 RS:X Olympic Equipment will be sent shortly to Weymouth, Great Britain, following a successful ISAF inspection at the manufacturers.
The visit to the RS:X equipment manufacturers forms part of ISAF's responsibility for technical control and direction of the Olympic Sailing Competition. The equipment is inspected in preparation for its allocation to the sailors who will compete at this year's Olympic Sailing Competition.

Norbert Marin, ISAF Technical Coordinator spent three days at the Cobra factory in Thailand inspecting and measuring the RS:X boards, fins and centreboards. The inspection moved on for two days to the Neil Pryde factory in China where masts, sails and booms were also measured and inspected; the limited edition colours of the boards and sails follow a new design a.

Emmanuel Messiaen, Neil Pryde's One Design Manager coordinated the project with assistance from Bruce Wylie and Prayat Viboontun, Manager and Quality Assurance Manager respectively, during the inspection at Cobra's Windsurf Business Unit.

There will be 28 women and 38 men going for RS:X gold at London 2012 following two tough qualification regattas at the 2011 ISAF Worlds and 2012 RS:X Worlds.
