49er European Championships

Once again the wind took a long time to finally settle over the race area.
The first race of the day was not started until 5pm.

Three races were held for the gold fleet and two for the silver fleet in a south westerly wind ranging from 15 to 20 knots.

During the first race, the Spanish crew Lopez-Vazquez/ De La Plaza hit the starting boat. Luckily no damage was done on either boat. However, despite a less than easy start, the Spaniards managed to make a surprizing come-back and finished 12th.
