Orange Round Britain and Ireland Record Attempt

The Orange Challenge is eight hours ahead of the record for the fastest sailing around Britain and Ireland.

The maxi catamaran is now off Scotland's east coast, some 350 nautical miles from Dover.

The boat's currently travelling at a speed of 10 knots as it tries to beat Steve Fossett's 1994 record.

Favourable east or north-easterly winds of Force 2 to 3 are now forceast for the North Sea, but that may not be enough to get the boat up to speed.

Fossett's record stands at 5 days, 21 hours, 5 minutes and 27 seconds.
