ISAF Olympic and Match Racing Rankings Go Live On-Line

ISAF Developing New Interactive Website Feature

ISAF has been developing an <B>Interactive Website</B> feature, which will make the Olympic and Match Race Ranking Systems live <B>On-Line</B>.

As well as being able to see the Rankings On-Line as before, you will now be able to see the ranking positions of all skippers over the past year and the events and points that make up the skippers ranking. Over the coming months further improvements and features will be added to make the system more interactive. Historical results will be available from the ISAF archives and sailor biographies, including results and reports. Event organisers will be able to enter their events On-Line into the Calendar/Ranking System and then update the results at the end of the regatta. The next Olympic Classes Ranking release on the 28th June will use the new system. It is all part of the Internet Service that ISAF is working to implement, which will link up with the Classification System to produce the 'ISAF Sailor System'. More news to follow in the coming weeks.

Lithuania's Juozas Bernotas came out on top in the Men's RS:X whilst Russia's Stefania Elfutina was triumphant in the Women's RS:X. Both sailors claim the first Abu Dhabi ISAF Sailing World Cup Final spots whilst Jock Calvert (AUS) and Joanna Sterling (AUS) picked up the Oceanic spots for the Emirati finale.

A tight group of five young Papua New Guinean (PNG) Laser sailors are stepping up their 2015 Pacific Games competition program using this week's ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne. PNG is one of 33 countries represented at the important Oceanic event, the largest Olympic sailing regatta in the southern hemisphere.
