Mind Your Health Campaign

Did you know that 1 in 5 American adults live with a diagnosable and treatable mental health condition in any given year?

Too often, these conditions go untreated. Untreated mental health and substance use conditions lead to more deaths than traffic accidents, HIV/AIDS and breast cancer combined.

At MHA, we believe in

  • PREVENTION for all
  • EARLY IDENTIFICATION and INTERVENTION for those of us at risk
  • INTEGRATED HEALTH AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE for those who need it
  • RECOVERY as a goal

If we act during all four phases, we can improve our nation’s mental health. We can never change a broken mental health system without focusing on a person’s whole health across their life span.

Our Mind Your Health campaign encourages people to find out where they are on the Wellness Circle and take action. The centerpiece of our campaign is free, anonymous online screening. Please include a link to the MHA Screening Tools as part of your message to your network - send people to www.mhascreening.org.

This quick video provides an overview of the Mind Your Health Campaign and Mental Health America.

The 2014 MHA Mind Your Health Campaign is made possible through the generous contributions of individuals and organizations that share our vision of a healthy America. This portion of our campaign is supported, in part, through philanthropic contributions from AstraZeneca.
