About the Olympic Sailing Competition

About SailingThe Organising Authority for the Rio 2016 Olympic Sailing Competition is the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), in conjunction with the Rio Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (ROCOG).

Racing is in the ten Olympic events under the Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-2016. A team of experts is appointed by ISAF to ensure fair play and good racing.
