Program Analyst (MAP) (DEU)

Description: The position is located in the Trade Adjustment Assistance Division (TAAD) of EDA. TAAD is responsible for the management of the TAAF program at EDA which supports a national network of 11 Trade Adjustment Assistance Centers (TAACs) that assist U.S. small-and medium-sized businesses impacted by import competition. The program provides technical assistance during the development and implementation of business recovery strategies. The program's goal is to increase firm competitiveness in order to improve firm profitability and retain and create US jobs.

The position is located in the EDA's Headquarters, located in Washington, DC. You will work collaboratively to ensure the successful execution of the EDA Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms (TAAF) program. You will execute key activities associated with the TAAF program, including responding to stakeholder inquiries, managing cooperative agreement pre- and post-approval; managing programmatic policies, systems, requirements, and procedures; undertaking program evaluation; and providing subject-matter expertise to various EDA projects, problems, or tasks in support of the Bureau.

Description: The incumbent of this position will function as Area Director for key programmatic positions encumbered by Economic Development Representatives, Economic Development Specialists, Civil Engineers, Environmental Specialist, and Construction Project Managers. The incumbent will work for the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, out of the Seattle Regional Office. He/She will report to the Regional Director, Seattle Regional Office.
