Team Alvimedica's skipper Charlie Enright (USA) won the final offshore battle of the Volvo Ocean Race, but the overall glory and trophy belonged firmly with his rival from Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, Ian Walker (GBR).

A bold move to cover his opponent proved a winning strategy for St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands' sailor Teddy Nicolosi. The 14-year-old Nicolosi won the 23rd International Optimist Regatta (IOR), hosted out of the St. Thomas Yacht Club.
