Training and Development News

ISAF has followed up the launch of its new Training Scholarship Course by offering a discounted rate for early applicants amongst its Member National Authorities (MNAs).
The eight-week ISAF Sail Training Scholarship will provide all the training and experience required to become a successful Training Manager, Youth Co-ordinator, Schools Sailing Development Officer, MNA Training Representative within ISAF MNA Sailing Associations.

In 2010, ISAF is able to make available six spaces at a reduced rate of £9,000 GBP, a 40% reduction on the standard rate of £15,000 GBP. ISAF also has a bursary award scheme which is available for MNAs that have identified a candidate but do not have all of the funding required.

Dan Jaspers, ISAF Training and Development Manager, said, "I am delighted to be working with Rockley Watersports as the Official Training Scholarship Provider in making it possible for all of our MNAs and Trainers worldwide to benefit from a first-class sail training development such as this. ISAF has never before had so many Training Programmes to offer our members and by listening to what the MNAs have requested and working closely with not only our developed nations but also our newer members, we have committed to growing global youth and adult participation for all ages, genders and physical abilities in the sport of sailing.

"I urge you all to get in contact to find out for yourselves what is new and to take advantage of our Programmes. I am here to help you. ISAF is its MNAs and without you this would not be possible."
