A pleasing fourth in Hyeres

I never thought I would say this but I think we need a faster boat!
After sailing right across the bay to our course area every day in Hyeres, a little more speed would have been nice!
We are really pleased to have come away with a fourth from Hyeres regatta and it was definitely a tough week with some long days on the water.
It was nice to have a mix of conditions and the chop certainly made for a new challenge compared to the smooth waves of Palma. We learnt a lot from our first regatta in Palma and it was great to be able to get some training in and then put it all in to practise so soon in Hyeres. We are happy with our progress but have already come up with a huge list of things to work on in our next training block!
Going into the regatta, we knew that we needed to sail a little more consistently than we did in Palma so it was great to come away with only two results outside the top ten!
The boats have now touched down on UK soil for the first time and we are training in Weymouth next week after fitness testing at the end of this week before heading out to Delta Lloyd Regatta in Holland in three weeks' time. Keep following our Facebook page for more updates!
