Day 4 at Laser Euros
Written by Nick Thompson | 09 June 2010
We have just finished day four of the Laser European Championships (Tallinn, Estonia); as I write this I am sat in the Prita 'Top Spa' Hotel, athletes village of the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
Going in to the event I had the feeling it would be high scoring, and so far my prediction has not been too far off. With a typical day consisting of 40deg wind shifts, racing has been interesting, and my mantra of "its never over until you cross the line" has reigned true; the best example being a come back of 40th to 2nd in race two of the event.
Tomorrow we split in to Gold, Silver and Bronze fleets, and with everything still open (as the final four races effectively count for triple importance) I am excited to hit the water again.............. fingers crossed for some slightly less random conditions, although I may be being a little too optimistic!
All the best!
