Building up to the European's

Written by Bryony Shaw   | 30 June 2010

The build up to our Europeans is pretty chilled out, as we have been doing so much intensive training in Weymouth and the recent racing at the World Cup in Kiel.

We are in a fantastic position that we have never been in before, which is 100% happy with our equipment for each of the upcoming summer events. We managed to have a lucky few days of wind and squeeze in some awesome testing with Sam Sills. Basing our training in Weymouth is a beneifit on so many levels, it is a great venue, easy to sail in the flat water and simple to come in to re-rig and change equipment.

Sam provided me with some great feedback so we could be confident of the best set up. But the whole process is very tiring and physically draining. Lots of lessons have been learnt over the world cup season so far, which was our aim and reason for doing so many events.  I have now begun a more intensive regime of rowing intervals so I can peak at the right time during the racing.

Let's hope it all comes together when it matters the most!
