Having competed at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games for Great Britain and only narrowly missing out on selection for London 2012, Penny Clark is now paving the way for the next generation of Olympic hopefuls.

Clark, who raced for Great Britain in the Laser Radial class at the Beijing Olympics, is now a coach for the British Sailing Team’s Podium Potential Programme, using her campaign experience to help younger sailors make the transition into the world of Olympic classes sailing.

Having hung up her sailing boots in 2013, the former world number one in the 470 class shares her experiences as a British Sailing Team Laser Radial coach, reasons for turning to coaching after her retirement from Olympic classes sailing as well as some top tips for any aspiring or current coaches.
