Back In Cadiz

The Trough

Well - we are back out in Cadiz for more training and a competition. We have completed our training and are now 8 races into the competition and with a 25 boat strong fleet with 7 of the top 10 in the world. 8 more races to go.

Currently we are top of the leader board which is helping confirm that our winter training has been on track. Life in Cadiz reminds me of Student days. There are 5 of us living in a small flat as you can imagine its not kept very clean or tidy, with sailing gear everywhere and the fact that 2 of the residents are used to having their parents clean up after them and others their wives.

I'm not sure whether Chris has mentioned the 'trough' before? Anywy this is a kitchen item which we seem to cook all our evening meals in. It can only be described as a tin tray you would find in a garage which would be used to catch the oil when changing the oil in a car - see the photo attached!

The other thing that our accommodation has that reminds me of student days again is my 2ft 8ins wide single bed and even worse after last night I have realised I'm not the only one in it at night, having received some nasty little bites on my stomach and elbow !
