The day that was....or wasn't...

Ok yeah yeah yeah i am a bit late writing this again, but I have been lost in a world of weirdness that has been today. That, and of course 'the apprentice' which Ben (i never watch telly) rodent is addicted too so we have to plan Wednesday's around!

Well was it windy, heck it was windy, and out at sea they had to bring some of the boats like the Finn's and the Star's closer to the shore as far out at see where they are was way too gnarly. As they were to use our race area, we were on for a delay. We waited on the shore for a fair while, it is easy to fill the first bit of time by catching up with Flash our physio to keep the old body running, then the odd brew and bit of the usual 49'er speculation about what's to come.

We ended this by being sent to the area usually used by the match racing just outside the harbour. Nice flat water but plenty of breeze so given how short the course was it was always going to be fun! Our start wasn't much fun tho head to wind going backwards trying to avoid A-the start line itself (got bit to friendly with that the other day!) and B-a German who seemed to be trying to invade us (I will stop there with that one!). Anyway it was the day for calm heads and getting the ship round, we are normally pretty good at this and did ok. Moving fast through the fleet we got back to 6th so pretty sweet really. It was pretty windy and once again the other fleet needed to do a race to catch up so we were sent in to wait for there race...

Well that's where we still are now. There was a lot of will they wont they and they didn't. So to be fairĀ I am confused was today a day or not a day was our race a race or not a race...? Guess we will find out in the morning, it should be the start of Gold fleet where of course it get's real interesting, however as of yet the organisers haven't made it totally obvious...
