ESSA Water Activities Centre is providing sailing taster sessions
ESSA Water Activities Centre is providing sailing taster sessions for young residents of East Herts District. Some have gone on to book Royal Yachting Association (RYA) sailing courses with ESSA during the summer holidays and others plan to return in the October half term.
The next taster sessions for East Herts District Residents are planned for week 17 August. For contact details, see www.essa.org.uk.
ESSA is able to offer excellent sailing facilities at an affordable cost with all equipment and instruction provided. ESSA’s award winning volunteer management scheme has produced both instructors and assistant instructors enabling young people to sail with people of their own or similar ages. The young ESSA crew helps novice sailors to prepare their boats and generally ‘learn the ropes’.
Grafham Youngsters Onboard for National Regatta
Grafham OnBoard sailors spent a week living and breathing their sport at the NSSA (National Schools Sailing Association) National Youth Sailing Regatta at Rutland Water Sailing Club on 26-31 July. Read the full story >>
New Club Equipment Inspectors Course 2015

Sail Royal Greenwich - 27th to 31st August
Sail Royal Greenwich 2015 will take place between 27 August and 31 August 2015. The Ships will take part in daily commercial trips from Woolwich to Wapping and fireworks displays will be held on each evening of the event. Rib Roaring Youngsters Power through to National Final
Two young powerboaters from the Eastern Region booked their place in the Honda RYA Youth RIB Championship national final with victories in the regional final at Grafham Water Sailing Club on 4 July 2015. Finalists from regional heats do battle, with the winners in two age groups, 8-12 and 13-16, going through to the national final held at the Southampton Boat Show in September. Read the full story >>
