RYA Joining Points enjoying double commission month

Special offer reaches mid way point

As RYA Joining Point Double Commission Month hits the mid-way point clubs and training centres signed up to the programme have been taking advantage of the special offer, claiming bonus commission for their club or centre and introducing more and more boaters to the benefits of RYA members.

“A number of our Joining Points have taken advantage of the double commission offer available throughout April”, commented Gemma Garrett, RYA Membership Operations Officer.

“But there’s still time for all our joining points to take advantage of this great promotion or for new clubs and centres to sign up and claim commission for their club or centre and spread the word about RYA membership.”

The scheme provides a quick and easy way for clubs, training centres and organisations registered as RYA Joining Points to encourage their customers to join the RYA and experience the many great benefits of membership.

As a thank you for spreading the word about RYA membership, Joining Points receive a commission for each Member recommended and throughout April Joining Points will receive double the standard commission values of the scheme; £20 commission for every family membership or £15 for every personal membership they sign up.

What the Joining Points say

Aigua Sea School in Palma de Mallorca, has been taking real advantage of the special offer and has already introduced 10 new RYA members.  Linda Revill, principal at Aigua Sea School commented:  “The strength of the RYA comes from its membership and it’s great to feel a part of a promotion to encourage more boaters to join in. We are based in the Med, so whilst the RYA isn’t as prominent over here, we explain the benefits of membership, plus the work that the RYA does. It’s satisfying when people are keen to join in. The changes in the eligibility for the ICC is also helping our promotion of the RYA.”

While closer to home, Peter May, director at Bisham Abbey Sailing and Navigation School commented: “As a commercial training centre we always vigorously promote the benefits of becoming a member of the RYA. Member benefits like discounted insurance and discount on brands related to the sport are always seen as a good thing by our clients whilst the membership fee promotes the growth of all forms of boating.

“The double commission offer is a great way for the RYA to say thank you for your support to those that work hard in the industry and promote our governing body.”
