Marine PolicyFirst Flight Wind Ltd Scoping ConsultationIn March 2014, First Flight Wind Ltd, a consortium of B9 Energy, RES Offshore and DONG Energy, submitted an Offshore Scoping Report to the Department of Environment and requested a Scoping Opinion under 13(1) of The Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2007 (as amended) for a proposal to construct and operate an offshore wind farm of up to 600 MW off the coast of County Down. The Offshore Scoping Opinion aims to set out the methodologies and issues to be addressed through the Environmental Impact Assessment, which First Flight Wind Ltd will provide to the Department. along with a formal application for a marine licence.
