Quality Accredited Boatyard & Boat Grading Scheme

This first part of the scheme looks at the systems and procedures that you as an operator carry out in running a hire boat or fleet of boats. It encompasses the requirements of the Hire Boat Handover Audit. QAB will not carry a star rating, but will be an accreditation, endorsed by VisitEngland and BMF, that offers reassurances of safe and legal practices together with good customer services. The QAB assessments are to be carried out every three years.

Online standards access guidance manual

The technical department has been looking at ways of assisting member’s access to ISO standards and have now produced a guide which is downloadable from the member’s area of the BMF website. The standards access manual is a step by step guide to the process of accessing ISO standards from various on-line providers depending on which type of access is required, daily, weekly monthly or annual.
