Entries open for the 2013 Sail For Gold Regatta

Enter online now for the third instalment of the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup
Entries for the 2013 Sail For Gold Regatta, being held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, are now open with an ‘early entry discount’ available to those who get their entries in before midnight on 10th May 2013.
The event takes place from 9th – 13th June 2013 on the waters used for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and all sailors should enter online via the event website at www.sailforgold.co.uk.
Olympic and Paralympic classes will compete in Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour, in what will be the third instalment of the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup. The event is a new Series, first announced back in 2012, and is based on five established regattas within Europe, with the aim of providing the best possible competition for Olympic and Paralympic classes.
Sailors will be looking to consolidate their standings at WPNSA in this brand new and exciting sailing competition, with the final two events for the Cup taking place in Kiel, Germany later in June and a grand finale later on in the year in La Rochelle, France in October.
This year’s regatta will once again be run by the RYA and WPNSA, with financial assistance from Dorset County Council and West Dorset District Council. In addition some commercial support has been received with a donation from Zero C, the developers of the housing used as the Olympic/Paralympic village in 2012. Further commercial sponsorship is being sought and any companies interested in the opportunity should contact either the RYA or WPNSA.
World Class Race Management teams who were instrumental in delivering a successful Olympic Games at the same venue last summer will be used to ensure top quality racing and support across all five races courses at the Olympic and Paralympic venue.
Entries received before the 10th May 2013 will qualify for the early entry fee. All other on-line entries must be received no later than 31st May 2013.
