The album continues the band's progression to a more pop rock sound, but retains some post-hardcore influences on tracks.

Tailgates And Tanlines
Tailgates & Tanlines is the third studio album by the American country music artist Luke Bryan. It was released on August 9, 2011, via Capitol Nashville. Bryan co-wrote eight of the album's thirteen tracks, including its first single, "Country Girl." American Songwriter called Tailgates & Tanlines "a soundtrack for fun and sun, along with an instantaneous cure for the summertime blues." The song "Too Damn Young" was originally performed by Julie Roberts on her 2006 album Men & Mascara.
The Hunting Party
The Hunting Party is the sixth studio album by American rock band Linkin Park. The album, self-produced by band members Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson, was released by Warner Bros. Records on June 13, 2014. It is the first album since Meteora not to be produced with Rick Rubin, after producing the band's previous three studio albums. The title The Hunting Party is a contextual metaphor: Linkin Park is the party that is hunting to bring back the energy and soul of rock.
The Hunting Party is a departure from the electronic rock sound of the band's previous two studio albums. The album, described by Shinoda as simply "a rock record", serves a statement by the band against contemporary mainstream and active rock bands, accused by Shinoda as "trying to be other bands and playing it safe". Packaged by an artwork by Brandon Parvini based off an original drawing by James Jean, the album took under a year to record and produce, with material being improvisationally written in the studio by the band.

Journals
Journals is the second compilation album by Canadian recording artist Justin Bieber as the follow-up to My Worlds: The Collection. Journals was released only as a digital download on iTunes on December 23, 2013 by Island Records. A ten-week digital download campaign entitled Music Mondays, in which one new song was released every Monday night, was held from October 7, 2013 to December 9, 2013. Journals includes five previously unreleased songs in addition to the ten Music Monday releases. Despite promotions of the album that helped Bieber reach number one on the Social 50 chart and the release planned to capitalize the sales rush before Christmas, the album did not fare well commercially, thus it did not chart on the Billboard 200 due to its first week sales going unreported. It was met with mixed to negative reviews from critics.

Hail to the King
Hail to the King is the sixth studio album by American band Avenged Sevenfold. It was released on August 23, 2013 in New Zealand and Australia, and was released on iTunes on August 27, 2013 and in North America on the same day. The album was produced by Mike Elizondo. This marks the first album with new drummer Arin Ilejay, who joined the band as a touring drummer in 2011 before becoming an official member in 2013. This is also the first Avenged Sevenfold album without any musical contributions from the band's late drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, however the bonus track, "St. James", was written in his memory.
The album was a commercial and critical success, reaching number 1 on the Billboard 200. This marks Avenged Sevenfold's second album to top the Billboard chart as well as their first to reach number 1 in the UK, topping the UK Albums Chart. It also topped the Canadian, Brazilian, Finnish and Irish album charts. Also, the album spawned two number 1 singles on Billboard's Mainstream Rock, Hail to the King, and Shepherd of Fire. The former spent 11 weeks on the top of the chart. On July 16, 2014 the album was certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of over 500,000 copies.

Me Against The World
If there's any record that makes the case for 2Pac as not only rap's most powerful emotional wrecking ball but also a great lyricist in the most traditional sense, it's probably Me Against the World. Where he was still finding his voice on earlier efforts and he completely unhinged from craft in the name of urgency with the later ones, Me Against finds him balancing his usual rage with some of the most tightly constructed writing of his career. Whether he's indulging his increasingly frantic mortality obsession with "Death Around the Corner" or having a heart-to-heart with that special lady on "Dear Mama," every song has a purpose, every word has its place. The production is as thin as it ever was—all G-Funk wheeze cliches, Quiet Storm chords and canned slap bass—and yet none of it detracts from 2Pac's potency. It's hard to imagine any backdrop that could.

1989
1989 is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, released on October 27, 2014, through Big Machine Records. 1989 is a pop album that was described by the artist as her "first documented official pop album." As of the week ending March 8, 2015, the album had outsold the accumulated sales of both of Swift's previous two albums, Speak Now and Red, in the U.S. According to Nielsen Music, total U.S. sales were 4.505 million after the week ending March 8, 2015.
Swift began preparing for the album during the same year that Red was released, and, during a significant amount of media scrutiny. Over the course of the two-year songwriting period, she primarily collaborated with producers Max Martin and Shellback—Martin served as the album's executive producer alongside Swift. The album's title was inspired by the pop-music scene of Swift's birth year, and its musical content represents a stylistic departure from the country pop of her previous albums.
In contrast to Swift's previous work, the production of 1989 consists of drum programming, synthesizers, pulsating bass, processed backing vocals, and guitars.
