Our nutrition experts' recommended daily intake of three chewable vanilla flavoured Calcium Complex tablets provides 100% NRV of calcium (800mg), 5µg vitamin D3 as well as 375mg magnesium. This unique formulation is completed with the inclusion of copper and boron to provide further support for the health of your bones.

For all individuals, an adequate daily calcium intake should always be ensured for the role it plays in the maintenance of normal bone and muscle function, but this becomes increasingly more important for those who live an active lifestyle. There are several different forms of calcium yet Healthspan Elite use calcium carbonate as this form delivers the highest yield of elemental calcium in a small tablet.

Vitamin D is also important, especially when taken alongside calcium as it aids in its absorption. There are different forms of vitamin D available; we exclusively use vitamin D3 as this is the form of vitamin D that is made and utilised within the body.

Product Origins

400 million years ago the calcite skeletons of ocean-dwelling organisms such as oysters, clams, mussels and coral collected on the oceans floors. These sea creatures, also known as coccoliths, use calcium carbonate (CaCO3) found in seawater to create their shells and bones. Once settled on the sea bed, this natural form of calcium is exposed to extreme pressure and temperature through the continual collisions and folding of the earth’s crust and over time the sediments form pure limestone.

This organic material can then be crushed, milled, dried and classified to produce products of exceptional purity such as the calcium carbonate used in our Calcium Complex. We work closely with our approved supplier to identify, explore and acquire mineral reserves with geographic advantages.

We exclusively use calcium carbonate as it has the highest percentage of elemental calcium compared to all other calcium salt forms. It can also be refined and purified to the highest degree to ensure that there are no toxins.
