UKSA has teamed up with legalmatters, a new type of legal business established to offer fast, fixed fee, customer-friendly legal solutions.

UKSA

UKSA is a youth charity offering transformational opportunities to young people through sailing and watersports. They focus on three key areas: providing adventurous on-the-water activities to Schools and Groups, offering essential life and work skills through their Youth Development programmes, and providing structured maritime training courses through their Professional Training.

Legalmatters & UKSA Partner Charity Legacy Scheme

Supporters and participants connected to UKSA are able to register for our Partner Charity Legacy Scheme giving the opportunity to leave a legacy in your Will to UKSA. Gifts of whatever size in Wills are one of the most valuable forms of support a charity can receive and they enable UKSA to plan for the future and support more of the people that want to change their life and plan their career.

Legal Fees Donation

If you register for one of our fast-track, fixed-fee services below then whether or not you decide to leave a legacy to UKSA in your Will, legalmatters will still make a donation of 50% of our fees to the charity to help them pursue their important work.

Who needs a Will?

Everyone and certainly anyone who has a career or is in the process of building the skills to develop a career. Making a Will is the only way to ensure that the assets you may have now and will acquire in the future are protected. Even when you are at the beginning of your career or have not yet fully developed it you should do the sensible thing and spend 10 minutes making sure that your wishes are carried out and if you have loved ones that they are provided for when you are no longer here. Even the simplest estate can often create additional distress, cost and anxiety to those closest to you if you have left it all to chance and not put in place a Will.

What is a Lasting Power of Attorney?

What if you were unable to make your own decisions relating to your finances (your bank account for example) or were unable to decide on welfare decisions such as medical treatment? This can happen if you suffered an accident or illness that affected your mental ability to make day to day decisions. Making a Lasting Power of Attorney means you choose the person you trust to make these decisions for you if you cannot do so yourself. If you do not make a Lasting Power of Attorney the court decides who is appointed to represent you. This is expensive, and can often mean significant uncertainty for your family.
