De quatix is ontworpen voor alle enthousiaste watersporters, van sloepenracers en kajakkers tot zeilers en jachtbemanningen, en is een hoogwaardig horloge met nautische GPS-navigatie. Het is het enige GPS-toestel met zoveel verschillende navigatie- en watersportfuncties zoals automatische MOB-detectie, afstandsbediening van Garmin toestellen en streaming van NMEA 2000® gegevens naar een watersporthorloge met navigatiefuncties.

Een zeer nauwkeurig horloge dat ook zeilfuncties bevat die nog nooit samen beschikbaar waren in één horloge, zoals een racetimer, virtuele startlijn, koersassistentie en getijdeninformatie. Het is ook uitgerust met een automatisch gekalibreerde hoogtemeter en barometer, een 3-assig kompas, temperatuursensor en getijdeninformatie. Bovendien kunnen gegevens draadloos worden gedeeld met andere compatibele Garmin apps.

NMEA 2000 gegevens¹ streamen naar uw horloge

Wanneer het horloge wordt gekoppeld met een Garmin GNT™ 10 NMEA zendontvanger (afzonderlijk verkrijgbaar), kunt u NMEA 2000 gegevens zoals windsnelheid, -richting en waterdiepte draadloos streamen en bekijken op uw horloge.¹

Gespecialiseerde zeilfuncties

De quatix bevat geavanceerde functies voor zeilraces voor een ongeëvenaard inzicht en voorsprong op de concurrentie tijdens zeilwedstrijden. Met de quatix kunt u eenvoudig een virtuele startstreep instellen tussen twee via-punten. De startstreep en de ingebouwde afteltimer worden gecombineerd gebruikt om de afstand tot de streep, de gewenste snelheid en de beschikbare 'burn time' te berekenen waarmee het vaartuig op de precieze starttijd en met een maximale snelheid de streep kan passeren. Wanneer de race is begonnen, schakelt het horloge over naar de Koersassistentiemodus en geeft het informatie over de positieve of negatieve drift, gebaseerd op de optimale ingevoerde koershoek; hierdoor wordt uw zeilervaring efficiënter en zekerder.

Functies voor afstandsbediening van de stuurautomaat

Dit ongelofelijke horloge beschikt ook over ingebouwde functies voor afstandsbediening. Hiermee kunt u op afstand een Garmin stuurautomaat bedienen, zodat u kunt navigeren op het dek van een boot of zeilboot met informatie en bedieningsfuncties aan uw pols.

Automatische draadloze MOB-activering

Als een van de bemanningsleden met een quatix horloge overboord valt, wordt er automatisch een MOB-waarschuwing verstuurd naar de kaartplotter (vereist een GNT™ 10 NMEA zendontvanger, afzonderlijk verkrijgbaar).

Plan of bekijk thuis een reis

Met de Homeport™ nautische plansoftware (afzonderlijk verkrijgbaar) kunt u uw avonturen plannen en bekijken op uw Windows® of Mac® computer. Leg een koers vast en download deze naar quatix.

Als u nog mobieler wilt zijn, kunt u ook draadloos verbinding maken met een iPad®², iPhone® 5 of iPhone 4s voor gebruik in combinatie met BlueChart® Mobile. (BlueChart Mobile apart verkrijgbaar.)

Automatic Wireless MOB Activation

Should a crewmember wearing a quatix fall overboard, quatix will automatically send an MOB alert to the chartplotter (requires GNT^™ 10 NMEA Transceiver, sold separately).

Stream NMEA 2000^® Data to Your Wrist 

Wirelessly stream and view NMEA 2000 data, such as wind speed and direction, water depth, and more when paired with a GNT^™ 10 (sold separately), wherever you are on the boat.

Help You Navigate

When not at the helm, you have the ability to view time to the next waypoint, final ETA or final distance to your destination, right on your wrist.

Autopilot Remote Control Functions

This amazing watch also features built-in remote capabilities. It allows you to remotely control a Garmin autopilot so you can move around the deck of a power boat or sailboat while having information and control right there on your wrist.

Altimeter

The built-in barometric altimeter provides accurate elevation information to keep track of ascent and descent.

Barometer

The built-in barometer helps you monitor and predict weather changes by showing you short-term changes in the barometric air pressure. If the barometric pressure begins a steady decline, this could be a warning of an impending storm.

Tide Tables

Tide tables provide the same accurate tide data built into our chartplotters. Tables cover more than 3,400 locations to help make sure you get to the right place at the right time.

Compass

The 3-axis electronic compass keeps your bearing whether you're moving or not. Sight a bearing and be confident quatix will keep you headed toward your goal.

Virtual Starting Line

Mark a virtual starting line between 2 marked GPS waypoints, for example a buoy and the committee boat.

Built-in Countdown Timer

Calculates both distance to the line as well as desired speed and burn time available.

Tack Assist Mode

Shows whether vessel is getting headed or lifted based on the optimal tack angle provided.

Temperature Sensor

The built-in temperature sensor keeps track of how rapidly the temperature is rising or falling, helping you determine clothing and shelter needs or whether it might be time to put the boat into land.

Wireless Communication

Easily share tracks, waypoints and routes wirelessly with other compatible Garmin GPS devices and smartphones. quatix is equipped with both ANT® capabilities and Bluetooth® technology. You can also pair quatix with external devices, such as our external temperature sensor, heart rate monitor and speed/cadence bike sensor if you want to use it for physical fitness activities.
