Jose Prendes’ Final Trailer for L.A. Brotherly Serial Killer Film, The Divine Tragedies, is Here

18 March 2015 9:45 AM, PDT

Sometimes I am leery of independent features that seem to grab actors that seem to do plenty of conventions as it seems a bit of a cash grab. This isn’t the case all the time but more often than not these actors are used to exploit genre fans to see another low budget film that doesn’t add anything unique to the genre. However, given what I am seeing in this trailer, there seems to be something that could be interesting. Ken Foree, Sean Whalen,

Lynn Lowry and Barbara Crampton are your veteran genre actors in The Divine Tragedies. I will fully admit that the first half of this trailer gives the viewer nothing to differentiate it from the growing pack of low budget genre films. But the latter half of the trailer, there is definitely some imagery that catches the eye. Take a look for yourself above.

Images & Trailer for Mike Flanagan’s Before I Wake

17 March 2015 6:52 AM, PDT

When I discovered Mike Flanagan’s independently made Absentia on DVD (ignore that horrible cover), I felt like this was a new voice in horror. While his style seemed to harken back to good old fashioned storytelling, he still had modern sensibilities. While I didn’t care for Oculus, it was still different enough to not be totally dismissed. Hopefully, Flanagan can average out filmography with Before I Wake starring Thomas Jane & Kate Bosworth. Check out the trailer & images below!

Synopsis:

In this intense and heart-pounding supernatural thriller, Jessie (Bosworth) and Mark (Jane) decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody. Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep but soon discover why: Cody’s dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. In one moment they experience the incredible wonder of Cody’s »

Official Poster & Sneak Peak for Insidious: Chapter 3

I was a fan of the first entry of the Insidious franchise and while the second film seemed a bit silly and not as strong, I’m still in for the ride. Today, we have a sneak peek for Insidious: Chapter 3! Tomorrow, the official trailer will be released. We also have the poster to share as well and it has a wonderful tag line that is straight to the point.
