‘Interstellar’ Final Trailer; Early IMAX Screenings Announced

Marketing for Interstellar has been heating up recently, and that continues today with a fresh trailer that includes plenty of previously-unseen footage.
Don’t worry, though, it doesn’t reveal much about co-writer/director Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi film that we didn’t already know; namely, that the story follows one “Coop” (Matthew McConaughey), an expert pilot who leads a mission into space – along with astronauts played by Anne Hathaway, Wes Bentley, and David Gyasi – to find a new home for humankind, now that the ecological system on Earth can no longer sustain us. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Jessica Chastain’s character (presumed to be McConaughey’s grown-up daughter in the film) must struggle to stay alive in an increasingly harsh and volatile environment.

‘The Interview’ Set Visit: Seth Rogen & James Franco vs. North Korea (in Canada)

I didn’t have to be asked twice if I wanted to visit the Vancouver set of Seth Rogen’s latest comedic endeavor, The Interview. Not only was he teaming up with James Franco again, it’s always a treat to watch the comedy genius in action especially behind the scenes.
Rogen co-directs The Interview with his childhood buddy, Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, Pineapple Express), drawing from a script that the pair co-penned with former Daily Show executive producer, and South Park writer, Dan Sterling. The duo who refuse to be pigeon-holed are touching on a new genre: Dr. Strangelove-esque absurdist political satire.

Dracula Untold is certainly one of this month’s most anticipated films; not just because it retells Dracula’s origins by way of a stylized big-budget war epic, but also since it could be the first brick in Universal’s rebooted Shared Monster Movie Universe. One of the most surprising aspects of Ridley Scott’s upcoming biblical action epic Exodus: Gods and Kings is that it marks the first director/actor collaboration between Scott and star Christian Bale. Just seems these two should’ve crossed filmmaking paths long before now, does it not? Lucky for us and audiences, we’ll soon get to see the fruits of their labor when Exodus arrives in theaters December 12. Having finally escaped the torment of their horrible bosses, Nick (Jason Bateman), Dale (Charlie Day) and Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) are plotting to become their own men in upcoming comedy sequel Horrible Bosses 2. Having invented a somewhat dubiously-titled product called the Shower Buddy, the three entrepreneurs find themselves seemingly in luck when made an offer by a father-son business team (played by Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz).

‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Trailer & Opening Titles [Updated]

The October arrival of a fresh installment in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s American Horror Story anthology series has been going on for the past three years, and that tradition continues this month with the release of Freak Show. A full-length trailer for Freak Show, dubbed “Opening Night”, has dropped (see above), and it offers a nice and quick introduction to the world of the eponymous circus act, as seen through the eyes of the conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler (returning Ahs player Sarah Paulson).

You can always count on Sons of Anarchy to express the seriousness of a situation through the inherent expendability of its supporting cast.

For those who haven’t been following the project’s development, John Wick stars Reeves as the titular character, a retired badass hitman who is quite happy just living life in seclusion with his reliable car and his lovable dog. Last season, fans were gifted with the shocking return of series creator and seasons 1-3 showrunner Dan Harmon before they found out that Donald Glover would leave the show after a handful of episodes.
