Are you an expert in evolving a brand through design? Take your talents in-house at Vimeo and lead the charge in designing our external communications. Work closely with marketing, production, messaging, and communications teams to refine the Vimeo and maintain consistency across all our communications and also, to make them all that. Perhaps you saw our [Snakes on a Train]? Or our [Net Neutrality campaign]? We’re amped to do more of this high-caliber, design-forward marketing, and to do so, we need your expertise.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead the design of all external communications and marketing materials.
- Ensure design and brand consistency across deliverables for a continually evolving technology company.
- Help execute upcoming 2015 marketing campaigns which will be, humbly speaking, badass.
- Dream up innovative ways to make traditional marketing campaigns less “blah” and more “BAM.” (Think Taco Bell airdrops, but for online video.)
- Define and develop the Vimeo visual language and design patterns for all our communications collateral.
- Work side-by-side with Nike-wearing marketing, business, and senior-executive type people to make important decisions around each campaign’s creative direction.
- Raise the bar (and roof) of our external marketing communications to match the high-quality products we’re building day in and day out.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
- 5+ years of experience as an art/creative director or designer (agency or in-house)
- Experience in pushing an established or emerging brand into new visual territory through fresh campaigns and marketing collateral.
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience in everything from banner ads and emails to editorial design and out-of-home campaigns, and any other ridiculously impressive design things you’ve had a hand in.
- A deep passion for brand integrity — you should consider yourself a staunch defender of brand values and guidelines.
- Confidence in articulating and explaining the thinking behind your designs and the solutions you present.
- Be a perennial self-starter who can create schedules and define scope-of-work, even without explicit requirements and direction.
BONUS POINTS:
- Experience with kinetic typography, visual effects, or video production.
- Familiarity with video-based or subscription products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- That rare ability to #inspire those around you.
- Familiarity with (and/or an undying love for) the Vimeo brand visuals and verbosity.
