YUDU are among a handful of organizations pursuing strict environmental standards beyond the provisions of legislation.
In 2013 we migrated our company cloud infrastructure to PEER 1 Hosting’s Building 5000, the United Kingdom’s most power-efficient datacenter, in an attempt to reduce carbon output. The datacenter has a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rating of 1.1. This puts YUDU on a par with Apple, Google, Yahoo! and HP’s most advanced server farms.
Our London team are located at GreenWorks, a center which incorporates biotechnology with passive environment control systems to reduce energy consumption, improve citywide air quality and cultivate urban produce.
YUDU’s Clitheroe production offices are powered by wind and solar energy, and we plan to broaden the scope of renewable power at our premises.
In addition to this, our core business, which enables our clients to scale back their circulation of printed materials, creates substantial benefits for the environment.
