If so, please take a close look at the Bidding Information, which covers all the information you will need. The closing date for bids is TBC. The Championship Finals is one of the premier team racing events in the UK and is the culmination of the university team racing season. The competition can be fierce and the difference between the top teams very slight, making for excellent racing and good spectating. Aside from the prestige of hosting the event, most host clubs have benefited in financial terms from being host. “Now in it’s second year, the Sheffield Hallam University Sail and Windsurf Club are pleased to invite you to our annual team racing event - the Hallam Hangover! “Come and join us for two days of top quality team racing, organized by a team of experienced sailors. “Racing will take place over the weekend of 22nd – 23rd March 2014 in the wonderful waters of Pennine Sailing Club in the heart of the Peak District. “We have an epic social programme planned for Friday and Saturday nights so you can be assured of a fantastic weekend! “The event gives you the opportunity for some last minute practice before the BUCS/BUSA Finals and the Wilson Trophy. Or it is an ideal season closer, allowing your newer sailors to get some extra practice ahead of the forthcoming season”. Swansea Spartan

Hosted by Swansea University and held at Tata Steel Sailing Club. This is the first time for many years that Swansea has held a team racing event so we will be pulling out all the stops to make sure it’s an absolute cracker! It will be run in a round robin format with the top two teams fighting it out for first place on Sunday afternoon. Places are limited to 16 teams, so please get your entries in early to avoid disappointment. Warwick Turtle

The Warwick Turtle, hosted by UWSC at Draycote Water SC, will deliver great team racing and great socials. This is a popular event, and we have 21 spots to fill, so please return entry form by 1st December, and we will allocate places. Stonking great socials will be held on both the Friday and Saturday nights in Royal Leamington Spa. Sere us on Twitter and Facebook. See: Notice of Race and Entry Form. "Please return the form by 1st December to apply for entries, and we will get in contact to notify the universities about how many entries they have and ask for their cheques."

Southampton takes it from Oxford 1 in closely fought final: The Warwick Turtle, a long-standing favourite in the British student team racing calendar, missed a year last year. It is back with a flourish. They claim to have “Excellent Sailing, Excellent Organising and Excellent Socials”, and, with very challenging weather, they seem to have got a great result. Commodore, Millie Craker-Horton and her team (rumour has it that they have thawed out since), working with Draycote Water SC and the restaurateurs and clubs of Leamington Spa, evidently pulled off a great weekend.

Great event where sailors can either sail in their own dinghies or use their club boats. BUCS Sport Points are awarded for this event (Individual fleets and Team). See Notice of Race Entries can only be made by Athletics/Sports Unions. Sailing Club officers/team captains are strongly advised to check through the paperwork carefully and to supply their Union with the necessary information using the Guidance on information required for Athletics/Sports Union to make entry.
