Comments about Dasuquin For Cats - 84 capsules:

Our vet recommended we switch from Cosequin to Dasuquin because it offers just a bit more.
We avoid the pill fight with our 18 year old by opening the capsule and sprinkling it right on top of her wet food - she licks it up so it must be tasty.
We are using Dasuquin along with acupuncture and Adequan to treat our cat for arthritis; I give it 4 out of 5 stars only because it's not a miracle worker...but I sure wouldn't stop administering it.

She'll take Cosequin; Dasuquin is a NO

Comments about Dasuquin For Cats - 84 capsules:

My girl Shiloh is an overweight Saddleback Tuxedo w/arthritis in her hips. We've been sprinkling Nutramax Cosequin in her wet food, with visible positive effects.

We recently discovered Dasuquin- the research & reviews praised it for being more effective than Cosequin, so we bought a bottle.

Bad News. Something about the flavor completely detests her (and she loves to eat). We tried for a week but she refused.

I've written this review just to give other kitty parents a heads up--there is the rare possibility that your cat might hate it.

Nutramax is a good company. I recommend purchasing 1 bottle of Dasuquin to test the waters without investing a lot of cash. And hey--have a bottle of Cosequin on hand, just in case your kitty-kid needs relief but doesn't take to the Dasuquin.

Best of luck to you and your kitty-kids.

Comments about Dasuquin For Cats - 84 capsules:

I read the reviews on Amazon before buying from WAG. I was hoping I'd get similar results and did. I too am raving about how wonderful this product is! Prior to using this my cat lost her ability to jump. Her hind legs were too sore to jump on the couch or the bed. She would pull herself up with her front legs. It was sad to watch. I'm not making this up, but I saw a slight improvement one day later. Within a week she was able to jump up on the couch and bed again perfectly. She seems to be getting stronger the longer she's on it and the more she jumps. I give her one pill daily. The pill is a bit big, but she is able to swallow it. I Syringe a tiny bit of water to help it go down. She's too picky to break it open in her food.

Comments about Dasuquin For Cats - 84 capsules:

The vet prescribed my cat to take one capsule of Dasuquin a day. I don't know if it's really needed, but I usually trust specialists. It's easier to give with canned food. At first I tried to give it with dry food but it was quite messy. My cat does not mind having it added to her food.
