n.d. c1885. 12mo., 16.5 x 12.5cm. Grey cloth backed pictorial card covers, all edges gilt. Illustrated with beautiful colour lithographs by E. F. Manning. All edges gilt unpaginated 12pp. Colour front and rear covers, 5 full page colour illustrations and one of half a page, together with a sepia half title, title and final page plus 3 half page sepia illustrations. The covers are very good with a little light marking and a tiny 2mm chip to the front lower fore edge corner. There is some light toning to the inner cover with a gift inscription dated Christmas 1889 and a little light ghosting from a couple of the colour images but essentially the book is in very good plus condition and the images are beautiful and evocative.
