Beaba Babycook Cook Book

With 85 full-color, step-by-step recipes designed specifically for Babycook, baby's mealtime has never been easier or healthier. Written by David Rathgeber, French chef and 'Chef Dad', the recipes were created in the same manner that he creates recipes for his restaurant's menu, by season, with fresh ingredients from the market. Each recipe highlights the flavor of one ingredient, sometimes seasoned with a spice or herb, or enhanced with a special pairing. The recipes are designed to be made progressively as a child's tastes and development evolve, while respecting the rules of nutrition and giving tips on how to adapt foods to a child's specific stage of development

    Not for the masses

          Comments about Babycook Cook Book:

I ordered this book at the same time I purchased the Baby Cook. Although I love the Baby Cook and use it daily, I have yet to use a recipe from the book. The layout of the book is not user friendly. Recipes are not organized by age so I have to sort through recipes for multiple ages before I can find anything for my eight month old. The recipes also seem way too advanced for a baby palate. I am a working mom and would rather have help with simple things like how to prepare meat for a young child. This book could be well suited for a foodie or chef.

          Comments about Babycook Cook Book:

It is a beautiful book but the recipes are pretty fancy. Also, I don't like how some of the recipes call for salt, herbs and even butter! It was definitely written by a gourmet chef, not your average Joe home cook. I was looking for something a little simpler.

          Comments about Babycook Cook Book:

I was super excited to purchase this book since I have the Beaba cooker/steamer. The recipes are uninspiring and very limited for my son's current stage (he's 8 months). It also doesn't look very professional. Maybe I'm jaded by the adult cook books I own, but I was expecting more. Its fine, but just really basic.

          Comments about Babycook Cook Book:

I wanted this book forever since it is written just for the Beaba, and I finally bought it for a HIGH price of [$]. It is a beautiful book, but I am somewhat disappointed as it is more of a European style eating and not so american. It shows a lot of thin purees to put in a bottle, and I was looking more for spoon foods from 6-9 months..

            Comments about Babycook Cook Book:

This book is the perfect compliment to the Babycook. As a busy mom who wants to make only the best for her baby, I wanted to make all my own babyfood. Like any busy working mom, I needed inspiration. Although some recipies are too fancy for everyday, there are great basics and the book is filled with informative facts about foods and creating combinations to introduce and expose baby to a broad range of flavors. Every recipie is customized for the Babycook (so the guess work is removed). I love this book and there are ideas for creating food well beyond first stage foods for babies - there are also ideas for toddlers and beyond. In fact there are recipies that would satisfy the whole family. This is the perfect gift for anyone who owns a Babycook!

This cook book is from France and is VERY European. It has some really neat ideas and I found it very inspirational. It's great to know that I can use the Babycook far longer than one year.

                Comments about Babycook Cook Book:

Bought this book since I thought it was "made for" the beaba babycook maker/steamer. Many of the recipies are made for children older than 6 months and they are VERY complicated and assumes that you have access to a wondeful farmers market or can go to whole foods each week and spend money on a bunch of items. I thought it was going to be a nice beginners organic book for babies 4 mos+.

Guess if you were on Top Chef this book would be for you. A busy working mom...not so much. The only think I can say is nice is are the pictures and the information about each food item in the beginning of the book (you could easily find this information online for free). I do not suggest!! Dont waste your money.
