What are Wish Lists used for?
Wish Lists are a great way to keep track of what you want, and sometimes get great gifts. You can create many lists both for yourself and to remember gift ideas for others.
How many lists can I have?
You can have as many lists as you like. It is helpful to give each one a name which designates a function/categories or else the name after the person you are building this list for.
How do I create a wish list?
If you do not have any Wish Lists at present, click on the Wish List link on right side of the Amazon.com menu bar. Then click on "Create a Wish List" from the pull-down menu. If you already have a Wish List, then go to your created Wish List (select this Wish List from the Wish List pull-down. Once the Wish List opens, on your left side Wish List menu, you will find a link called "Create another Wish List". Clicking on this link will lead you to create additional Wish Lists.
How do I add an item on a wish list?
Items can be added directly from the product detail page. To get to the product detail page, select any item on Amazon.
How to I rename a Wish List?
Click the link "Wish List" which appears on right side of Amazon website. Select the list to be renamed from the pull-down menu. Once the page opens for this Wish List, select "List Actions" and then "Edit List name" from the pull down menu options. Enter the new name in the pop-up dialog box that appears and hit "Save".
How do I Move an item from one Wish List to another?
Open the Wish List from which you want to move the item. When you see the list of items on this Wish List, on the right side against each item you will see Move button. Click on this button and all your Wish List names will be shown. Select the Wish List to which you want to move the item.
How can I specify quantity, priority, add comments to an item on my Wish List?
Choose the specific Wish List in which this change has to be done. Under the item (for which quantity or comment has to be changed/inserted), please select the link "Add Comments, quantity, priority". This opens a pop-up which shows fields "Comments", "Wants" and "Has". You can indicate the number of items required in "Wants". If you already have certain number available for this item, the same can be specified under "Has". Priority can also be chosen between "Lowest" to "Highest".
How to I delete a Wish List?
Click the link "Wish List" which appears on right side of Amazon website. Select the list to be deleted from the pull-down menu. Once the page opens for this Wish List, look for the link "Manage your lists" on the left side menu. Clicking on this link will bring up a dialog box. Select the "Delete" button against the list to be deleted and press "Submit" to complete the action".
How do I print my list?
Go to the Wish List to be printed. Under "List Actions" select "Print List" option and you will be presented with a print-preview. Hint the "Print List" button.
I can't find my Wish List?
Please make sure that you are logging into the correct Amazon website, under which you had created your Wish List (Such as Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.ca). Wish Lists created under one domain (country website) are not visible in another domain. If you still cannot find your Wish List, please ensure that you did not accidentally delete the Wish List.
My Wish List is huge and I do not want to waste paper while printing?
That's a good idea which our engineers appreciate. Wish List printing uses compact view while printing. This view removes pictures and provides an environment friendlier way of printing your Wish List.
What does List Recipient mean?
List Recipient is the person designated to receive purchases off the Wish List. It is up-to the list owner to specify the list recipient (can be done by clicking on List Profile). By default the Amazon account owner's name is marked as List Recipient.
Can Recipient and Delivery Addresses be different for each list?
Yes, these can be unique or identical for each list. By default the Amazon account owner-name is accepted as the List Recipient name.
Can I change List Recipient and delivery address for each list? If so how?
List recipient name and address can be changed by selecting "Update List Profile" from the "List Actions" menu within a list view. Since list recipient can be unique for each list, please make the changes (for each list) if required. Also the delivery address is unique for each Wish List. The address can be chosen from different delivery addresses used in the past on Amazon.com or a new address can be specified.
Where are my Wish List items?
Please check if you are logging into the correct account and also in the correct Amazon country website. So if you created your Wish List in the US website (Amazon.com), then these Wish Lists will not be visible in Amazon websites such as Amazon.co.uk or others.
When buying from Wish List - how do I avoid duplicate purchases?
Please visit the list profile link on your list & check/read about "Don't Spoil my Surprises" option.
How can I retain an item on Wish List even if the same has been purchased?
Increase the quantity required against the item to more than one or a higher number.
How do I check Items which have price drops?
First select the Wish List that you wish to check for price drops, then Go to the link “Filter and Sort” and click on “Items with Price Drops”.
What can I save using “note ideas”?
You can use notes to save frequent product searches, product categories, or just to remind yourself what you want to buy or gift later.
What can I save using “photo ideas”?
You can save photos of products and inspirations you want to buy or gift later.
What can I save using “Save items from the web”?
You can save products and inspirations you want to buy or gift later from other websites.
Who can see my Wish List?
If your Wish List is set to 'Public' anyone can search for and find your Wish List on Amazon. If your Wish List is set to 'Private' only you can view your Wish List by logging into Amazon with your email and password credentials.
What is the 'Shared' privacy setting?
If your list is 'Shared' only people with a link can see your list, it's hidden from search. If you share your list with others they can also share the link.
How do I return a gift that I received and that was purchased from a third party seller?
You must contact your gift giver to initiate the return. Please note, at this time, only the person who ordered the item can be refunded by third party sellers.
If my Wish List is public, will it show up on Google searches?
Amazon Wish Lists are not indexed by search engines.
Searching For Other People's Wish Lists
My friend has a very common name, and when I search for it there are way too many results to know which list is theirs. What do I do?
We recommend that you search for their list by their email address.
