5.0 out of 5 stars This is a good deal for the money as long as your expectations are within reason
I purchased this as a back up computer simply to access cloud based applications on the web in a business situation. For the price it is a pleasant surprise. It is able to access net applications without issue and it does so quickly. It is a bit slower to install software than my more robust computers, but outside of this, it does what I need it to do. I plan to purchase...

"Be advised"!. There are "TWO" versions of this C260 computer... one with Touchscreen and one without.. There are confusing mixed reviews here for the touchscreen version. 5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Computer; Windows 8 is very different, September 16, 2014

Be aware that the photo seems to show a bundle that includes Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, while this computer is not capable of supporting Bluetooth accessories. Even the photo on the box shows a keyboard and mouse that are wireless. Next, you will have to have either WiFi or broadband Ethernet internet access in place before you plug it in, or you won't get very far. If this is your first use of Windows 8 give yourself plenty of time to get used to how completely different it is. There is an option in the appearance settings to use a Windows 7-like visual format, but the inner workings are not the same as in the past. I like the look of the computer, the speakers give very full sound, very clear even at lower volume. The keyboard, wire notwithstanding, is very pleasant to use. The keys are a nice size, and very smooth. I would like a larger mouse, but this one works well. This is a good deal for a desk computer, just be sure to allow yourself time for set-up and acclimation.

3.0 out of 5 stars There are "Two" versions of this Computer Model C260, December 10, 2014

"Be advised"!. There are "TWO" versions of this C260 computer... one with Touchscreen and one without.. There are confusing mixed reviews here for the touchscreen version. Amazon and Lenovo were also confused (they told me this $313.00 unit was a touchscreen).. I found all the answers on Best buys website when I did a comparison between the $349.00 model and the $477.00 model. The column on the Right is the Touchscreen model.

I'm sure this computer is good for the price, just was really excited to think it was a touch screen.. I will check it out when it comes, who knows I may choose to keep it for the price. Hope this helps.

Set up was easy, less crap installed than previously purchased hp's. Only disappointments was wired mouse and keyboard as looked like it was wireless also not touch screen but for the price I am very satisfied. I am not a gamer main use web surfing, streaming video and normal photo and document creation and storage.

My whole family use it. We play games on it, use it for school, usual web searching. Not a huge fan of windows 8 but I've gotten use to it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Low media performance, December 7, 2014
This review is from: Lenovo C260 19.5-Inch All-in-One Desktop (57327436) Black (Personal Computers)
The C260 Touch is equipped with a quad-core Intel Pentium J2900 processor with Intel HD Graphics, 4GB of memory, and a 500GB hard drive. The size of the hard drive and the amount of memory should be sufficient for a general-purpose user. The internal memory can be upgraded to 8GB, and you can switch out the hard drive for a bigger one yourself, but most users who buy this desktop probably won't bother.

The system had no trouble playing back 720p HD streams, and was generally quick when I used it to surf the Internet during testing. On the PCMark 8 Work Conventional test, which measures performance for general computing tasks, the C260 Touch scored 1,783 points. That's significantly higher than the 1,254 points of the Gateway ZX4270-UB31. Certainly, that's a lot lower than Intel Core i3-equipped PCs, like the midrange Acer Veriton VZ2660G-i34130X, but that system is a lot more expensive.

Multimedia scores were on the low side, at 5 minutes 4 seconds on Handbrake, and 12:36 on Photoshop CS6, but those are significantly faster scores than those from the Gateway ZX4270-UB31 (7:15 on Handbrake; 14:45 on CS6). Stick to office tasks and Web surfing, and you'll be fine with the C260 Touch. If you need more power, consider a midrange all-in-one desktop like the Acer Aspire Z (AZ3-615-UR15).

If you thought a touch-screen desktop was out of reach with your sub-$500 budget, think again. The Lenovo C260 Touch is a very competent Windows PC with a lot to like (nice price, touch screen, no bloatware), and very few drawbacks (wired keyboard, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, no HDMI-in). Those issues aren't even a concern for users with basic computing needs. It outclasses and outperforms the previous champ, the Gateway ZX4270-UB31 while matching it in price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, November 9, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lenovo C260 19.5-Inch All-in-One Desktop (57327436) Black (Personal Computers)
For the price of the computer balanced against its capacity I couldn't be happier. My 11 year old uses it for school, his mensa nerdling engineering programs, Minecraft, Lego Digital Designer, the internet, Google Earth, movie maker, PowerPoint with imbedded video, Excel, Word, and his music and he's happy as can be. The first one we ordered had a bad HD, and Amazon replaced it in a day after a 2 minute conversation. Can't complain about that.

I've read some of the other bad reviews and I think that there's people who would protest against free beer. Honestly, there's higher quality available for the gamer's, or to meet professional obligations, and I have one. But I paid for it as well. If this one tanks because he downloads the "kiss of death" virus or spills his morning oatmeal on it, then c'est la vie. I've
had both Bitdefender (now) and Kaspersky (previous), no issue with either one.

In my opinion we got a great bargain. It works better than we could have hoped for the price.
