These shear pins are the exact replacement to many snow blowers, including Troy Bilt, MTD. Huskee(home depot), Yard machines, Bolens, Yard Man and Sears. They fit most machines from 2005 and after. They come with a great cotter pin, more like a clip than a cotter pin style so no need for pliers to bend it and install. The price on Amazon is so much better than the retail price at the stores I visited in my local area. My Machine takes 8 so I bought two packages to have on hand. The picture shows regular cotter keys but all my packages came with clips. So i am clear on that. Looking forward to the first snow!

This was the perfect replacement shear pin for my Craftsman snow blower. I don't often need one of these, but this four pack gave me the spares I needed.

Last month I hit a stick that one of the neighborhood kids left on the sidewalk the day before it snowed. It jammed in the auger and sheered two of the pins on my Craftsman snowblower. Great safety feature as this prevented greater damage to the auger blades, but with 6 inches of snow on my sidewalks I was out of commission for the day. I ordered these replacement sheer pins from Amazon and while I was at it I got an extra set to leave in my toolbox. They were delivered quickly and fit perfectly. Now I have a spare set so the next time something like this happens I won't have to resort to my shovel to finish the job.

The items shipped to me were OEM brand MTD. They have the awesome spring clips NOT COTTER PINS as shown. The package says 738-04124(a) indicating that they are the same or equivalents and used both as 738-04124 and 738-04124a interchangably. The photo attached is what I received. Awesome service from Amazon as always.

These are a perfect fit for our new Troybilt Vortex(tm) 2490 Snow Thrower. This is the new 3 stage one. It doesn't say it in the description, but these include the bow tie style clips like these http://www.amazon.com/Oregon-02-901-Bow-Tie-Hair-Thrower/dp/B0018TY4GI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid;=1410294423&sr;=8-2&keywords;=oregon+snow+blower+pins rather than the cotter pins shown! This type clip is listed for over $2.00 each so this is an incredible deal for the $4.98 add on price.
