Product Description

Are you tired of 2048 numbers? Try matching some colors!

Color Match Pro is the most addictive color matching game, based on the popular 2048 game. Just swipe the screen to move the colored tiles. When two of them touch, they turn into the next color. You can see the color range above the board, along with your highest found color.

Simple, but fun!

3.0 out of 5 stars Here Comes Another Threes' Clone... November 16, 2014
Verified Purchase
If you have previously played Threes or one of its clones (such as 1024, 2048, etc.) you would have no trouble diving into & start playing this game. The concept is identical: swipe the tiles up, down, left, or right, combining similar ones to form the next in sequence, and try to progress as far as possible before you run out of room for new tiles (or, as in the case of 2048, until you've reached 2048!)

Color Match Pro is simply another clone, using colours instead of numbers. However, with Threes & 2048, it's easier for the new player to grasp the concept; after all, everyone knows combining 2 & 2 gives you 4, 4 & 4 gives you 8, etc., etc. Because there is a logical progression with numbers. Not so with colours - adding maroon to maroon doesn't produce pale blue! There is no logic behind it! Even though I know well how to play these games, and can distinguish the various shades of colour, I found myself having to constantly refer to its colour bar to see which colour comes after which. Quite distracting, sometimes frustrating.

The only questionable permission this game asks for is Internet access, which I think is for sending game related info etc. to Amazon. Otherwise it's safe & can run offline.

3.0 out of 5 stars fun.. kind of. November 16, 2014

It's an easy enough game to learn, although the color progression really doesn't make much sense. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but two of the blue colors look identical on my phone which makes matching them up difficult (LG G2). The game lasts a little too long in my opinion, I'm more likely to play a game if I can play it for just a few minutes and still feel challenged enough to come back for another round. After playing one long round, I don't really feel like investing the time in another one. One last note, once you have a good amount of colors on the board your brain might play a trick on you making you think that the empty spaces (which are green for some reason) are actually playable colors, I noticed that this fooled me primarily when an empty space was isolated from the rest of them.

2.0 out of 5 stars just like 2048 November 16, 2014

When it asks are you tired of 2048? It means are you tired of 2048 being numbers. Same game play as 2048 a bit more challenging as some of the colors are really close in color and depending on your screen may look the same but not combine.

4.0 out of 5 stars A color matching game that plays smoothly! November 16, 2014
Verified Purchase
This is a color matching game and you can match just two colored blocks. They will not combine unless they move and strike each other then they will combine and change color to the next color up on the scale. By doing this the two blocks combine and it removes one block from the screen for every combination you make. Plan your moves well. The color scale is shown on the top of the playing area. You keep playing until you have filled the board with colored squares and no longer have any moves left. Your success level is based on the highest level of color you have been able to create before you run out of moves.

At the end of the game a menu pops up and you can restart, share, rate look at free games or exit. Rate and more free games take you to Amazon. You can turn off the WIFI using the airplane mode and not worry about your children downloading apps to your device.

Overall this a good game and once you get the hang of how to play it then it is OK, it plays well with no issues and it contains no malware. I do wish it has a brief set of instructions on how to play the app but I found none. The game is simple and helps to burn time. There is no music to be annoying so you can concentrate and plan your next moves. I rated the app at 4 stars and it is worth downloading and playing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Designed Mega "Time Waster" November 16, 2014
By Tecocat

I liked this way better than the versions with numbers...somehow it was much easier to follow along and more pleasing to the eye. I played a game on the "Easy" sitting and it took a really long time to complete. The time just flew by...it was always "just hours do a few more moves before I take a break," and the next thing I knew, an hour had gone by! However, after I finished my first game, I did start another one just to see what would have happened if I had stopped in the middle of a game and, good news!, it remembers where you left off (which may be a function of the Game Circle connection, so I don't know if it would have worked that way if I had been playing offline).

The color changes make sense within a grouping, but it is a little odd how the colors change from being to bring. Maybe it would have been more intuitive if they had stick with a rainbow color scheme, but it's not a big deal. The biggest suggestion I would make would be to have a slightly greater color difference between the second and third blue...they were a bit hard to distinguish and i made a couple of unintentional moves because of that.

All in all though, a great game!
