Daily Workouts

I was glad to see this addition to the useful Daily Workouts series combining different target areas into one workout. I tried the free version, and believe in paying the developer for the full version. After a bit of trouble installing it from the Amazon App Store, it downloaded fine and is running with no problem.

The paid version includes most of the single-target exercises available in the other apps in this series (abs, arms, butt, cardio, legs) -- everything except the ball workout and the yoga. As with the earlier apps, you can choose to target one area, select a workout length of 5, 7.5, or 10 minutes, choose one of 3 preset routines, start from your choice of exercise on the list, or make a custom routine. So far, you've bought five 99-cent apps for $3.99 and have less clutter on your screen.

What's really new here is that you can now do a full-body routine. The default routine (available on the free version) is fine. With the paid version, you can also make a custom routine including up to 20 exercises from a list of about 85, sorted by target area. You can save the routine and select a workout length of 10, 20, or 30 minutes. Customizing helps me get a challenging workout without stressing my aging wrists and knees.

For people new to this series: each exercise is demonstrated by a looping video of a fit young woman in fairly modest workout clothing. She models the correct form but doesn't explain it. Instructions are printed underneath. A woman's voice announces the name of the exercise, and then there is silence until the next exercise. You can turn off the sound.

Why only 4 stars? There is no option to add a rhythmic sound to signal the reps. That would be a useful addition for an update. Without that sound, it is hard to keep the rhythm during exercises where your position doesn't let you watch the screen.

I love using this app for workouts. I find that having something timing me provides focus that I don't have when I workout on my own. The large library of exercises with added video clips to show how each exercise is done is very helpful and adds variety to otherwise stale workout routines. Very useful for people who don't have a ton of time and just need a good thirty minute workout squeezed in to a busy daily schedule. Definitely a recommended app. There is also a free version available for those who prefer to try out an app before shelling out money, so check it out.

After FAOTD they decided to change permissions to sniff networks and charge for items inside app. No Thanks deleted it. Not a nice way to do business

At $4, this is a fairly expensive app. Yet the price does not cover the price off the full app. IAP in pid apps is not acceptable. Free, yes include IAP, buut never for paid aps

You spend 3.99 to buy this app fully expecting you have purchased what was advertised but, be warned, you have not. If you want the benefit of what's advertised then, after you buy the app, you have to buy each routine separately or in a package. This app is a rip-off and Amazon should screen these before offering them. I spent 3.99 and, if I want what I thought I had purchased, I now have to spend another 12.99 to get it. This is a con-job and I just deleted it and lost 3.99.

After being the free app of the day, the now added Google billing permissions and network information (sniffing) to the already network access. Now the app is dangerous. 4 stars to no stars. Lots of apps doing this lately.

This is an excellent FAOD and worth paying for..The videos and instructions are very clear on my kindle..Quality sound..It's great for a quick workout, toning and stretching muscles in the morning..I can choose my own targeted areas, or do the full quick body....I have my choice at 5-10 minutes for targeted areas, such as my abs, which definitely need work on and choice of 10-30 minutes for a full body workout..Not everyone can afford personal trainers, expensive gym memberships or sometimes miss days because of their profession.....

I am very happy with this app and I can take it with me on vacations when I can't make it to the gym......Plus I like the timer, and listening to the count..Sometimes when at the gym, I am so distracted by other noises I loose count....
