I have a wonderful laptop computer, large enough for movies..and great performance, but not great for a senior to be carrying around on long trips. Decided to try this little Kindle Fire that a couple of my friends were raving about. well I am on my 3rd Kindle Fire since last June 2013. I was thrilled when I first got it and what it could do. I had been using using the \kindle app on my laptop for reading and was happy enough with that as a test for ebooks. My first Kindle Fire developed acharger issue with the port on the tablet. No problem..replace it. Get the new one re download and set up everything..yes in Canada you have to do all your music manually ( I don't use the cloud) Well #2 is just kind of crazy and does what it wants when it wants..so..onto replacement #3 (in under a year)..I have had number 3 for 5 months and barely use it anymore at all as it does not like to stay on unless plugged in. I am now sick of KindleFire as it seems to get worse with each replacement. I did love it at first but have fallen out of love..not wanting to work for me is a dealbreaker..sorry KindeFire I will live with my laptop and free apps..will I give you one more chance? a #4??

Worst product ever.
I had to return mine. 2 in fact after they sent me a replacement. Both reboots by itself halfway through anything, shuts down for no reason whatsoever, and even brought me to a system recovery page multiple times.
It rebooted itself 6 times while I was with Amazon support. They agreed to give me a full refund on a faulty product after much haggling. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!! EVER. Fire HD rebooting/restart/shutdown is a known issue if you dig into it deeper, but Amazon has not come up with a solution to this known issue.
I took that money and bought a Samsung Tab4 instead which I know there will be ZERO issues.
