LEGO Friends Jungle Bridge Rescue 41036 Building Set
This is by far my daughter's favorite set. She is 11 and put it together in no time.
It comes with so much .. people..animal..helicopter..car
Compared to the $12-$15 sets this is a great deal because so many other components to it. We thought about getting two smaller sets instead of this one but now we are so glad we got her this one because of how much fun she is having with it.
She now has added several other Jungle sets to her Christmas wish list.
She has other sets of this price point... like the beauty salon that one not nearly as much fun way too many small parts like lipsticks perfume.. and not enough bigger items to be able to actually play and be creative with is what she tells me.
This set she wants me to be sure to note - the directions were kind of neat with them showing a character in some of the pictures like the Lego friend was putting the set together herself. She also wanted to note .. the pully for the helicopter was a little bit hard to figure out how to do it right but she refused my help and eventually got it right and was so proud of herself for doing it.
She was a little miffed that in the book it showed the basket thing that the helicopter carries \ a bit different in color than what you actually get in the book it has black trim or accents on it but you get what it is like on the box all white without any black. We looked for stickers thinking that is what we needed but nothing was in the box. She made do with using a sharpie marker because she liked the way it looks in the instruction book better.

I bought LEGO Jungle Bridge Rescue for my 6 & 7 yr. grandchildren. They really enjoy playing with it. During Summer, they have taken it outside to play on the patio. Lots of teeny-tiny pieces, so we have to be very careful. I definitely, would not suggest younger children play with this set.

Personally I would give Lego a 4 star rating because I am constantly stepping on the little pieces around the house, and vacuuming them up off the floor. (: However, since this really was bought for my daughter, it gets the 5 star rating. She enjoys the challenge of putting a Lego Set together, and then playing with it. She was thrilled when Lego started to come out with the Friends collection. She told me she still likes the other Legos, but this one has more animals in it, and uses a lot of pink and purple. Rating Lego is pretty much one of those things where you either love or hate Lego. I have yet to have purchased a defective Lego Set, and my daughter has found hours of entertainment in them. Now if only they would stop putting extra pieces in them, because that confuses the heck out of me her poor mother who thinks something was forgotten. lol
