Great show, good price

This is a good price for the show. Anyone that thinks it is overpriced are cheap and probably take sugar packs home from restaurants. The price works to about $1.70 per episode and its digitally remastered! I picked up "Docto Who the Web of Fear" for $3 per episode and it is in Black and white and only on DVD and not Blu ray. I know it may seem like a lot all at once, but the price is more then fare when you consider copyrights.

What a fabulous job they did restoring this, one of my favourite shows from my youth!
The picture quality is wonderful. For the first time ever I can clearly see the different subtle colours in Batman's cowl. I can see individual green hairs on the Joker's head. Robin's cape almost glows at times. Fabulous!
The only thing that I'm slightly disappointed in is that the audio is a bit inconsistent. The action sequences are louder than the regular dialog so I find myself turning the volume up and down once in a while. It certainly isn't a deal breaker but I would have liked a bit better audio.
The packaging is great and the extras are really entertaining. I haven't watched much of them yet but what I have seen is very enjoyable.
Oh, also,....I had a hotwheel batmobile when I was a kid. Of course I lost it over the years. Now I have one again! How cool.....It's great to feel like I'm 10 years old again, even for a little while!

Holy Box Sets, Batman!

This is what Batman fans have been waiting for for a very L O N G time. The episodes look amazing and are clear, colorful and detailed. The handsome box comes with lots of extra swag, including a Hot Wheels Batmobile, books and trading cars. I am VERY please with it.

So, why only four stars? Small reasons: Why isn't the 1966 Batman movie included? The same can be asked about some of the extras that didn't make the set. And, lastly, once usually expects a Blu-ray to come with a lossless soundtrack. Now it probably doesn't make much difference when we're talking a mono 1960s TV show, but I had hoped for more than Dolby Digital.

Despite these comments, I am hugely pleased with the box set. It may not be perfect, but it gets the important things very, very right.

This is a terrific looking set. The care that went into the reproduction is obvious and the packaging is treat, right down to the playable theme song built right into the box. It's pricy, but worth the cost to me. I'm absolutely enjoying the content and happy to finally own this series in the best possible reproduction quality available.

I remember watching the series when it first aired. I have fond memories of the show. It left a mark in my mind. I have waited 45 years for the series to be available on DVD. Finally they settled whatever legalities were stopping the release. The blu ray transfer is excellent. The colours are rich and vibrant. Finally I can relive the show. If you are a bat fan, do not hesitate on ordering this set. Pricey but well worth it considering the cost of a DVD movie. Is there a price on nostalgia?

A Batman set every fan should have!

This boxset is so worth having! With only 90 thousand of these limited edition, sets it's a collector's item for any true Batman fan. The artwork and the cards are really cool and you get a hotwheels sized replica of the batmobile. It includes all 120 episodes, fully restored and remastered. I'm very happy I got this. The show is so cheezy and bad but in the best way possible.

actually got a DVD set online from someone that recorded all the shows to VHS and burned them to DVD...but the quality of these is so amazing compared to that old bootleg set, that there is no comparison!
