In 2013 Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond embarked on what they hoped would be the perfect road trip. It started well and ended, quite frankly, very badly.
Unbowed, the Top Gear pair are back for another crack and this time they're hoping to avoid inconveniences like apprehension by the French police. Welcome, then, to The Perfect Road Trip... 2.

Once again, Clarkson and Hammond are seeking joy and perfection wherever it may be with a range of fast, beautiful and exciting cars unleashed on glorious roads amongst gorgeous scenery and drenched in Mediterranean sunshine.

As part of their arduous research into perfection, the duo will also undertake some ridiculous challenges and hilarious stunts culminating in a strangely literal car race on the island of Capri.

Extended TG episode which misses the mark

Well it's basically an extended episode of Top Gear and not a particularly good one either. The same old "scripted improvisation". Top Gear always worked best when there was genuine banter and shenanigans... there is very little in this production unfortunately, far too staged.

Overall, a lazy Christmas cash in - save your money and put Dave on.

(The best bit were the outakes of the promotion for this DVD)

Dull

Very lazy in every aspect; the writing, the filming, and it looked like it was made on a very low budget. I found myself looking at the video timer to see how long I had left before it was over - something I have never done before with Top Gear, even at it's worst a few years back. I usually like TG and Clarkson's writing but this was just dull, definitely not worth paying for.

Dull and tired. Avoid

Indian special was better. Dire and dull. We were huge Top Gear fans, but this is not worth it.
I wonder if this latest DVD will make fans stop buying this Xmas DVD?
I was given this as a gift, and after 30 mins I was reading the paper. 45 mins passed and I turned it off. Same old cliches and dull story about Hammond. Its lame and not worth £1.99.
They drive some cars, and have silly races that Clarkson wins. Its so dull I returned to it the next day and just skipped bits. Avoid,
