My large dog loved playing with this. The sound was interesting, and he liked throwing it around and chasing it... but, within 5 minutes he tore through the handle, and chewed a hole in the corner of it.

Comments about Rough & Rugged Crunch & Crackle Tug:

We have a havanese puppy who is incessantly chewing on things. We got this, hoping it would keep her attention and not be destroyed too easily. The part that has a water bottle inside (for the crackling noises) is too big for her, so instead, she took to chewing on the handle. After a matter of weeks, the handle was completely shredded, and then she moved on the orange lining. Today, I had to throw the toy away, as she started biting off bits of orange and swallowing them. It took awhile, but it eventually broke down. The reason why she loved it so much, I think, is that it was very easy for her to hold in her paws, meaning she wasn't constantly chasing after it (the material isn't slippery). That's the good news. Just didn't hold together as we had hoped.
