    Drum Roll... the winner of the 2018 Sportswoman of the Year is offshore sailor who won the with - one of the first women to win the race. Congratulations Carolijn and thank you for being an inspirational sportswoman.

    Now i could use your help i hope you'll say yes?! I love what I do, and would appreciate your help to pay for the equipment and regattas i need to attend. When i train and race, it inspires others especially the disabled children met at the London Youth Games ⛵.

    Find out what you like doing best, and get someone to pay you for doing it.

    Para sport barely got a mention! Para sailing got it's funding cut , so when and Jonathan won in the RS Venture connect, it made winning even more special. Plus he is a top bloke with an inspirational story 😎

    Obviously immensely proud of all British sport celebrated tonight, but couldn’t help but be disappointed in the distinct lack of mentions for Paralympic sport successes from 2018? There have been SO many. Food for thought, perhaps?

    The showed me I still have a place in the world. Now we need to switch our thinking from: ‘Employing people with a disability is the right thing to do’ to ‘it’s the smart thing to do’. Why miss out on potential talent, ability & diverse ways of thinking.
