This was a fantastic movie, and watching it in 3D at home was amazing. The action scenes from the future look amazing, and it was great to combine 'old' X-Men actors with 'new'.

My only critisism is that since time was 'looping' in the future (sort of) they could have made the fights and deaths of the characters into much cooler scenes, but still, very well done.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't get to Watch due to Technical Problems Nov. 15 2014
Format:Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
I don't know if I hate it or not. I doubt that very much as I like the other X-Men movies and this is said to be the best. I put this in my Blue-Ray DVD player to play but could not get it to work. The machine just kept ejecting it. I contacted Amazon and they sent me the label etc. to return it as it must have been defective which I did and they replaced it with a new copy. However, it does the same thing so I went into Fox and apparently the format is not conducive to my machine. I will pass it on to my nephew who will have the right equipment, I am sure.it will measure up to the reviews I have seen.

I loved the depth that this movie both brought to the movie franchise but also drew from. You should re-watch all the prior movies before delving into the paradoxes presented in this one. Possibly my favourite X-Men so far despite a couple forgivable flaws.

Excellent movie, but I thought I would received a booklet with the dvd. Don't expect anything else. nice to see the current and the past coming together to help fill in the beginning for those who didn't read the comic books.

X-men: Days of Future Past is an awesome movie! It was my favorite film of the summer, and I couldn't wait for it's release on Blu Ray. The Blu Ray looks great, and has some interesting special features. The best X-men yet!

By Derek Draven TOP 100 REVIEWER
Format:Blu-ray
The first X-Men film served as the launchpad for a slew of high quality comic book adaptations from both Marvel and DC Comics. It took the source material and adapted it for a real-world feel, while sporting some wise casting decisions, the greatest of which is Hugh Jackman's portrayal of fan favourite Wolverine, a role he has kept for close to 15 years now. No small feat! Its first sequel is frequently lauded as the best in the series, while the third entry X-Men: The Last Stand is considered its stumbling moment. The latest addition to the franchise takes its cues from arguably the most popular X-Men comic book story arc ever printed: the Days of Future Past, and it single-handedly puts the series back on track while introducing plenty of new room for future sequels.

The film deviates a bit from its comic book source material, but the premise is the same. In a dark and terrifying near future, mutants have been hunted to near extinction by fearsome creations known as Sentinels; giant robots capable of adapting to, and thereby negating mutant powers. Only a handful of mutants remain, including the X-Men under the leadership of Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and his one-time nemesis Magneto (Ian McKellan), who have since joined forces to combat this new threat. Knowing that it's only a matter of time before they are found and slaughtered, Charles and Magneto formulate a daring plan to change the future by altering the past. This ability is achieved through mutant Kitty Pride (Ellen Page) aka Shadowcat who, besides being able to phase through solid matter, is also capable of psychically sending a person's consciousness back through time into the body of their younger self.

How could you not love this movie in 3D. The ending should have been different. Beside that the plot was very well done. The movie keeps you on edge and it has a wow factor.
