Hesson is a former Great Britain Under-20 International, taking part in the European Championships in 2009 and 2010, averaging 4.2 points per game. 2012 is his first time in the senior squad but he is already a full England international and has also represented GB at Futures (Under-23) level.

Myles made his professional debut with former BBL team Essex Pirates in 2010, playing under former Great Britain assistant coach Tim Lewis. He joined Mersey Tigers in 2011 and made multiple appearances in the league’s Team of the Week, scoring a career-high 26 points against Cheshire in February. He was named in the BBL All-British Team of the Year. In 2012, he made the move to Germany, impressing in 20 games with lower-league Weissenhorn before earning a call-up to BBL side Ulm. He has signed for top-tier Giessen for 2013-14.

Born in Birmingham, Hesson attended Great Barr School in the city. He came through the development system of City of Birmingham Basketball Club and Birmingham Aces.
Myles missed most of his rookie season with Essex due to a fractured ankle but bounced back to form.
