This competition is a time trial for the British Schools’ Modern Biathlon Championships (28th & 29th March 2015). Unlike the County Championships and competitions organised by the Pentathlon GB Regions, it has no automatic qualifying places for the British Schools' Biathlon Championships.  Registration will open at 13.00; Run (200m track)14.00; Swim (6 lane x 25m pool) 15.00.

Entries for the following classes will open online at 11am on 1st September and will be restricted to 100 athletes.  The competition entry fee is £4.  Entries will close once capacity has been reached or the closing date whichever is the sooner.   Athletes who are not fully paid up members of Pentathlon GB will be given free First Steps membership, however if they progress to one of the British Championships, full membership (£10) will be required at that stage.  The run will be conducted on a 200m track.

The camp will run from 0930-1500 each day and will cover running, swimming, fencing and shooting (both static and combined). This camp will be sutable for athletes aged 9+ and of all abilities.  Each day will consist of 1 hour running, 1 hour swimming, 1 hour fencing and 1 hour shooting (static and combined). The training schedule will ensure the camp is very rewarding for all athletes attending and we aim to help all athletes to develop as an all round pentathlete. I will be leading the camp and my aim is to pass on the knowledge I gained while I was a member of the Great Britain Modern Pentathlon Team. We will also have our expert team of coaches helping you improve as an all round pentathlete. This is a qualifying competition for the British Modern Biathlon Championships (28th & 29th November 2015) and the British Schools’ Modern Biathlon Championships TBC). It has automatic qualifying places for BOTH of the British Championships.  This competition is being held in the same venue as the British Biathlon Championships - the swim is in a 25m, 8 lane pool and the run on a tartan track.

Running alongside the biathlon will be a shooting competition - 20 shots at static paper targets for U15, U16 and U17 athletes who wish to gain competition experience before the Modern Biathlon Championships at the end of November – here, athletes choosing to enter the static shoot in addition to the biathlon have the opportunity to be selected for the series of Talent Identification Camps organised by the Pentathlon GB Performance Team.
