Tide, especially in the Solent can be a tricky beast, particularly to those unfamiliar with double tides and strong tides. Playing the tide tactics right can make a huge difference to your race, so it's worth planning tidal information into your pre-race thinking.

Every sailor has their favourite wind / weather information websites, and most of us will be religiously checking an assortment of them for the latest predictions several days before race day comes.
