Sir Tom Shebbeare

Sir Tom Shebbeare joined the UK branch of World University Service in 1973 before becoming General Secretary of the British Youth Council in 1975. From 1980 to 1987 he was a civil servant, and in 1988 was appointed by The Prince of Wales as the first Director of The Prince's Trust.

In 2004 Tom took up his current position as Director of The Prince’s Charities – the largest multi-cause charitable enterprise in the UK. He is also a trustee of In Kind Direct, UK Skills, The Turquoise Mountain Foundation, Queen’s College London and the School Food Trust.

Tom was knighted in 2003.

Judy Gibbons

Judy has over 25 years' experience in the computer industry, focussing on software, digital media and online advertising.

Before joining Microsoft in 1994, Judy held product development and marketing roles at Hewlett Packard and Apple. She initially joined Microsoft to launch MSN in the UK, and went on to manage MSN Europe, then MSN International, MSN Worldwide and finally became Corporate Vice President of MSN Global Sales and Marketing.

Judy is a Venture Partner at Accel and currently CEO of Mippin, a mobile media company. She is also on the board of Autoquake and the Guardian Media Group.

Judy has been ranked among the top 20 most influential European business women by the Wall Street Journal Europe. She was also listed as one of Time magazine’s ‘People to Watch in International Business’ and received the Women’s Leadership Award at Microsoft.

Jayne-Anne Gadhia

Jayne-Anne joined Virgin Money in March 2007 and, as CEO, is responsible for setting the strategy for the business in consultation with the Virgin Money Boards and Committees, leading the business in the delivery of strategy, achieving sales, and achievement of revenue and cost targets.

Jayne-Anne started her career at Norwich Union as a Trainee Chartered Accountant, becoming Head of Unit Trust Marketing and later Business and Finance Manager (direct sales), before leaving in 1994 to join Virgin Direct as Operations and Compliance Director. Jayne-Anne was appointed Managing Director of the Virgin One Account, a joint venture with RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) in 1998. In 2001, RBS bought Virgin out of the partnership with Jayne-Anne leading the integration of the Virgin One Account into the RBS Group. She then became Managing Director of Mortgages across the RBS group before re-joining Virgin in her current role.

Jo Barnett

After graduating from the University of East Anglia, Jo worked in advertising and media for ten years before joining Virgin Direct. By 1997 she worked as Marketing Director as the company launched the Virgin One account whilst juggling three young children and a demanding career.

Jo took some time out and set up her own marketing consultancy following the Virgin One account, then moved to Canada for 3 years where she launched her own company.

Jo and her family have now returned to the UK so she can dedicate her time to the day-to-day management of Virgin Money Giving.

Caroline Marsh

Caroline has over 27 years experience in banking. She spent her early career at Barclays where she spent 12 years in management roles. In 1999, she joined the Virgin One Account as Sales Director. Following the acquisition of that business by RBS in 2001, Caroline became Sales & Operations Director for the bank's Consumer Finance business, before leading the bank's intermediated mortgage business.

Caroline returned to Virgin Money in 2007 as Sales Director and, since the acquisition of Northern Rock in January 2012, has led the cultural agenda for the integrated Virgin Money business and more recently has assumed Executive responsibility for Virgin Money Giving and all of Virgin Money's social enterprise initiatives.

Holly Branson

Holly completed her medical training at University College London and joined the Virgin Group in 2008. Holly helped to develop and launch Virgin Money Giving - and we're delighted that she will carry on her involvement as our patron.

Holly takes an active role in supporting Virgin's other social enterprise and charitable work, including Virgin Unite.
