The primary aim of the GBAP is to produce a consistent supply of target shooters who clearly demonstrate that they are ‘on-track’ to becoming world class athletes, capable of achieving world leading results at the Olympic Games (Tokyo, 2020 in the first instance).

Target Tokyo

British Shooting and UK Sport have launched a nationwide search for shooters across all disciplines as part of our Target Tokyo campaign. The recruitment drive seeks focused and motivated individuals who have the desire to represent Great Britain and reach the Olympic Podium.

National Governing Bodies

We represent the national governing bodies of competitive target shooting within the Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth disciplines. We act as a single point of contact for target shooting sports, support the development and evolution of all shooters from grassroots to world class level, and disburse public funding from UK Sport and Sport England.
