Full ArticleAnna Watkins has specialised in the double scull since 2006 and at Beijing 2008 she won bronze with Elise Laverick.
Since teaming up in 2010, Watkins, née Bebington, and three-time Olympic silver medallist Katherine Grainger have won two world gold medals and remain unbeaten together.
Watkins learnt to row as part of the GB Rowing Team’s Start Programme while at Cambridge University.
A talented mathematician, Watkins has previously learnt to fly a plane as well as being an assistant Brownie pack leader.
At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Grainger won gold in rowing, double scull with partner Katherine Grainger.
